Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s latest release, 724, is unusually one-dimensional, even in the context of the perfumer’s signature synthetic-forward style, so basic and unsculpted it may strike you, as it did me, like a laundry detergent scent bottled with zero changes. It gives you classic Castille soap and virtually nothing else.
